Eva's new puppy

Ten puppies were found along the road locally and taken to the Humane society. Granny saw a picture of one of them, with their story, in the newspaper and showed it to Eva. Eva carried around the picture for two days, along with “Mommy…. this puppy need me. I need this puppy, mommy.” Like any mom would, we took a trip to the humane society. They had 3 left. So, now Eva has a new puppy. She named him “Spike.” They think he’s a cross between a lab and a collie and about 4 months old.

We get into the car with the puppy. Eva looks at the puppy, then the newspaper, then the puppy and declares, “Yep. That’s the one.” She asks Granny constantly, “The puppy say ‘Arf’ What does that mean, Granny?” And this morning, she told me that her kitten (Sea Fu) was the puppy’s girlfriend. I wonder what Sea fu has to say about that.

The lab will make her gentle and good with Eva. The collie will make her a smart. Nice combo.

Congrats on the new puppy! I had heard about those dogs and am so happy they are finding homes. We have a puppy at our house too, but he is much smaller. He is coming to the sledding party this weekend.....hope to see you there.
