The DS

So, Eva's been wanting a Nintendo DS ever since we visited Aunt Kathy 2 summers ago. Her teenage cousins had them. Then, when we saw her cousins this summer (Kori's kids) and she found out they all had a DS, it became an unbearable wanting. So, yes, we got her a DS for Christmas. But, I didn't want her to think she had the right to take it to school with her or to not share it, so we told her it was a family present, and the family's DS. My master plan hasn't quite worked out like I anticipated. Now every time someone else has it, she marches up to them and says, "I need to play with that now. You have to share; it's the family's DS." Ah... Eva

A few days ago, Eva told me all she wanted for Christmas was a big box of hugs and kisses. Last night she told me I was her favorite Christmas present. I'm telling you, this girl knows how to get what she wants from her mommy. :)
