I'm feeling a little bit guilty about how long it's been since I've posted. I had 2 weeks off between the end of my summer class and the beginning of this fall semester and decided to utilize it fully. I have completely and absolutely loved these last two weeks with Eva. Every day she seems to grow and do more and more. I hear her saying things that I don't even realize that I say until out they come. For example, last weekend we had our Families with Children from China meeting and David wanted Eva to go down the slide. She informed him that, "I not in the mood." She tells our cat constantly that she has, "totally unacceptable behavior." It's delightful to hear her ennunciate that one. The other morning she was playing with David's mask for his C-PAP (for sleep apnea). She put the strap around her neck and when she couldn't pull it off informed me that it was "stuck in my beard." I corrected her pronunciation on dental floss. She was telling me that she had the "En'al Coss" I replied "You have the
Dental Floss" To which, she retorted with exasperation oozing out of every syllable "That's what I said, Mommy." She can get into the refridgerators, turn the lights on and off, loves to go places with me and only goes potty in the potty chair when it's her idea and she can get something she wants out of it. (Yes, potty training has hit a snag.)
I will post more now that I am back to my routine and also have access to the internet access at work. It's very irritating to post with just the dial-up at home.
